Appreciate your co-operation

Regards

Nida, Project Manager, Champion 7 Water Injection Debottlenecking Project, Shell Petroleum Development Company

Very consistent with their efforts. Rightly they should be rewarded.

DEVARAJAN NARAYANASAMY

Senior Operation Supervisor

First, allow me to congratulate you for an excellent job, especially

considering the short time we had together on CP-7 in offshore.

Well bore entry incurs the risk of losing a tool string in the well

"junk in the hole" and that can be a big problem.  I like the fact that you pointed out all of the hazards of well bore intervantion, including hazard exposure and integrity problems.

A job well done.

Best Regards,

Jim Hall

Oil & Gas Production System Optimization:

Disciplines tend to work in isolation

Data quality is mixed and difficult to access

Staff spend time collecting and reconciling data rather than evaluating it

Poor integration….few decisions use all available data

Inwardly focussing…little sharing of “Best Practices”

Routine surveillance and optimisation of Brown Fields is not as exciting as working on new developments

How Well the Global Oil & Gas Industries Doing:

Speed of moving reserves from exploration to production is slow

Reserves have lower % “proven” than reported

Drilling costs were high, loss of expertise

Missed production targets year after year

Projects have not delivered the expected value

Global pollution problem – Blow outs, pipe leak, global warming, carbon capture, GHG

The problem

Disciplines (Reservoir, Subsurface & Surface) tend to work in isolation

Data quality is mixed and difficult to access

Staff spend time collecting and reconciling data rather than evaluating it

Poor integration….few decisions use all available data

Inwardly focussing…little sharing of “Best Practices”
